Expanding the possibilities of high-performance materials through our unique dispersion technology.
Utilizing our proprietary ultrafine particle dispersion technology developed over many years, Mitsubishi Pencil provides high-quality dispersions of hard-to-disperse materials such as PTFE (fluoropolymer), CNTs, and graphene.
Furthermore, regarding CNT and graphene, we offer customized liquid dispersion services. We can mix these nanomaterials with raw materials specified by individual clients, including resins and inorganic materials, to meet their unique requirements.
・ Achieving Both High Solid Content and Low Viscosity:
We realize low-viscosity, high-solid-content slurries
that maintain a uniform particle size distribution without
compromising coatability. This simultaneously increases
energy density and reduces the load on the drying process.
・ Flexible application to both aqueous and solvent-based (NMP)
systems:
We support the preparation of not only non-aqueous systems
(such as NMP) that require strict low-moisture control, but
also aqueous dispersions with preservative systems enhanced
by our proprietary technology. This expands your options
for processes while reducing environmental impact.
・ Comprehensive Development Support:
We go beyond simply supplying dispersions to offer a fully
integrated suite of solutions tailored to your needs
-from cathode and anode slurry preparation to electrode
coating trials.

[PTFE dispersion]
Our PTFE dispersion is a liquid material that achieves a stable, nano-level dispersion of PTFE, successfully overcoming the traditional challenge of achieving uniform dispersion in organic solvents.
It is easy to mix with resins and varnishes, and can be smoothly introduced into existing production lines.
By maximizing the inherent properties of PTFE?including low dielectric constant, excellent water/oil repellency, and low friction?this product helps improve electrical characteristics, sliding properties, and wear resistance.
The material is highly anticipated for use across various applications, including high-frequency substrates, low-dielectric resins, functional coatings, molding materials, and high-performance battery binders.
Through our unique compounding and dispersion technologies, we have overcome the challenges specific to PTFE and realized excellent dispersion stability.
・ Inhibition of fibrillation and gelation: Prevents viscosity
increase and particle coalescence to maintain stable liquid
quality.
・ Uniform Particle Distribution: Nano-level PTFE disperses
uniformly throughout the resin, maximizing the material's
inherent performance.
・ Easy blendability: Because it is stably dispersed in various
solvents, it can be smoothly mixed into existing resins and
varnishes.

By using our dispersant, the micronized PTFE particles are uniformly dispersed within the film matrix resin. This prevents agglomerated particles from appearing on the surface, and maintains the uniform particle distribution inside the film even if the surface is scraped. Additionally, grinding the film exposes the embedded particles to the surface, which is expected to improve water repellency and other properties. |
[Expected Effects and Intended Uses]
The excellent properties of PTFE can be imparted to coating films and molded products.
・ Improvement of Electrical Properties: Reduction of Relative
Permittivity (Dk) and Dielectric Dissipation Factor (Df)
(High-Frequency Substrates / Low-Dielectric Resin Materials)
・ Enhancing Surface Functionality: Superior Water and Oil
Repellency
・ Improved sliding performance: Enhanced wear resistance
through friction reduction
・ Energy Field: High-performance binders for batteries
We will propose the optimal specifications tailored to your manu-
facturing processes and required characteristics.
・ Adjustable items: Solvent type, PTFE concentration, viscosity,
particle size, etc.
・ We support everything from small-lot prototype development to
mass production.
We can flexibly accommodate your needs and required quantities. Please feel free to contact us.
